  • 450 g dry navy or small white beans, rinsed and quick-soaked
  • 1 cup chopped white onions
  • 1 cup chopped red onions
  • 1/8 cup minced garlic
  • ½ cup red wine vinegar
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark chili powder
  • 250 g canned plum tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 1 chili, chopped
  • 3 cups water or chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Place the rinsed beans in the steamer basket on top of steamer trivet and put inside the pressure cooker. 
  2. Now add about 6 cups of water to quick-soak the beans. 
  3. Close lid, bring to high pressure and cook for 2 minutes. 
  4. Release pressure using the natural-release method.

Ingredients And Quantity

  • ½ tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 120 g dried Chorizo sausage, finely chopped
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 120 g black beans
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small chili pepper, finely minced
  • Salt and ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic

Directions

  1. Add the oil to the pressure cooker.
  2. When the oil is hot add the sausage and brown for 2 minutes. 
  3. Add the onions and peppers, season with salt and pepper to taste. 
  4. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes or until the vegetables are wilted.
  5. Stir in the garlic and black beans. Now saute for 1 minute.

  • 3 to 4 cups water
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup chopped green capsicum
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced

Directions

Ingredients And Quantity

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ green capsicum, chopped finely
  • 225 g chicken breast, cut into small pieces
  • ½ red capsicum, chopped finely
  • 1 chorizo sausage (about 170 g), cut into small pieces
  • 4 cups water
  • ½ cup green peas, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup medium-grain rice
  • ½ cup sweet corn, fresh or frozen

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in the pressure cooker and add the capsicums.
  2. Saute for 5 minutes or until they begin to soften. 
  3. Add the peas and sweet corn and cook for another minute.

  • 2 cups long grain rice, washed
  • ¼ cup freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 4 x 100 g pieces fish like snapper, flathead, etc.
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • ½ cup ground coriander
  • 1 tsp chili paste
  • 270 ml can coconut milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh lemon grass
  • ½ tsp ground cumin

Directions

  1. Wash rice well and drain. Then set Minut’Cook onto High Pressure setting – Timer: 3 minutes.
